3D worlds

I personally really struggled with this Rotation. But I found it valuable to know as an artist, it was fun to sculpt different things like sunflowers and fish. Our class was simple and easy to follow at first but then the pacing of classes got too fast and hard to follow.

During the first week we were learning to colour our seagull models and add lighting to our enviourments.

I wanted my model to have some depiction of movement clearly on display. So I choose to do something with falling rocks.

But I like the final result and its presentation. I’m especially proud of myself for seeing this project through. I do wish I could have modeled some water or more clouds around the base of the mountains but I think I made up for it by adding shiny gems into the mountain. I used what skills I currently had since I was struggling so much.

Here are my progress shots I took during the project. you can see how my knowledge of different techniques grew as the days went by. How I eventually changed the colour palette from a murky green to a cooler blue.
